On July 11, 2026, a devastating flood washed through Big Creek RV Park. Though it caused
tremendous damage to our park, we are pleased to share that we are back up and running.
A GINORMOUS HEARTFELT THANK YOU to the many hands, generous hearts, family members,
friends, campers, and volunteers who have given their time, resources, equipment, and
encouragement to help make this possible.
While there is still work to be done, all our campsites are open and ready for guests. It will take
time to add back the finishing touches and restore every part of the park to where we want it to
be, but we are making progress every day.
The pool is open, Big Creek remains a special place to wade, relax, explore, and enjoy the
beauty of nature, the playground has been fully refurbished, and our farm animals are still part
of our guests’ experience.
Even though our family has been through a lot, we are determined to keep working hard to
restore Big Creek RV Park, the place we call home, to the standard our guests know and love —
a family-friendly nature retreat in the heart of Southeast Missouri.
Guests will notice some changes to our pull-through sites. These sites have been overlaid with
beautiful 1-inch limestone, with small grass areas on either end. As time and resources allow,
we will continue embellishing our pull-through sites with stone fire pits, greenery, and other
finishing touches.

At Big Creek RV Park, we are committed to providing the best camping experience. Resting among the Southeastern

with full hookups. Some of our amenities include swimming pool, walking trails, petting zoo, seasonal events, wood for your fire, propane, ice, and campground store. We are located near the most popular attractions in Missouri: Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park, Elephant
Rocks State Park, Taum Sauk Mountain State Park, Fort Davidson State Historic Site, St. Joe State Park, and the Black River. Less than 2 hours south of St. Louis, MO, Arcadia Meadow Campground, LLC is not far from historical landmarks in
Ironton, Caledonia, and Farmington.
